Karashi Mentaiko aka Spicy fishy roe is a popular delicacy in Japan. It is used to flavour onigiri sushi, on pasta or mixed with Kewpie Mayonnaise. Many other Asian countries are also claiming ownership of the original recipe. To set them all right, we decided to make an Irish claim on this and produced our own seasonal batch of Irish style Mentaiko… with small seasonal Haddock roes
