Most of our fish is sourced on the bone. As skilled fishmongers, we fillet each species ourselves to ensure optimal freshness and handling.
Wild fish sizes vary, but we expertly portion them to match our descriptions. If we can’t, you’ll get a proportional refund. Note: preparation options for whole fish will reduce the final weight.
They don’t always get it perfect.. but overall our partnership with DPD has become a key strength of our online service. How Is Your Order Packed? Your order will be carefully packed in an insulated box with coolants to ensure the product stays fresh, regardless of the weather. Our boxes, including the tape, are fully recyclable.
As for the ice packs, they contain a gel that’s 99.9% water and 0.1% sodium polyacrylate, an organic, food-grade compound commonly used in agriculture to improve soil moisture. To recycle, you can add the gel to your compost or mix it with soil for plants. The plastic envelope should be disposed of in your grey bin.
