CRAB CAKE INDULGENCE, With Tartare sauce.

Fresh Cooked Aran Islands Crab Meat and a few simple ingredients you can indulge
in something truly special for your dinner this week as a starter or main course. 

Alternatively replace the crab mix with mashed up Sardines in Brine, Smoked mackerel, Natural Smoked Haddock, or Salted cod Bacalhau

 

Ingredients

  1. 200 Pack Fresh Cooked Aran Islands Crab Meat or any proposed alternatives
  2. 500g Mashed Potato (plain/no butter or milk)
  3. 1 Spring onion sliced very thinly
  4. 1 Beaten Egg
  5. Salt & Pepper
  6. Flour (For Dusting)

Method

  1. 1 Mix together the ingredients and refrigerate for 15-20 minutes to firm up.
  2. 2 Shape into 4-6 patties and dust with flour.
  3. 3 Shallow fry in a non stock pan with some rapeseed oil for 4-5 minutes per side. Serve with a rocket salad and tartare sauce.
  4. 4 Serve with a rocket salad and Tartare sauce.
  5. 5 To make Home made Tartare sauce: Mix Together the Following: Mayonnaise, Chopped Gherkins, Chopped Capers, Chopped Parsley and Lemon Juice.
