Here at The Laughing Oyster, we’re passionate about high quality ingredients. That’s why all of our seaweed is harvested locally from the pristine waters of Bere Island, West Cork, and processed sustainably by Islander David Andrews.
Our ingredients are prepared using traditional methods, to create a gluten free, superfood seasoning, bursting with iodine, iron and calcium. We want to expand people’s palates, and prove that seaweed belongs at the dinner table.
The Laughing Oyster was founded in 2015, by islander and seaweed harvester David Andrews. Following a trip to California, David was excited to learn of the importance of seaweed in the Californian diet, inspiring his vision for The Laughing Oyster’s range of seaweed seasoning products.
Here at The Laughing Oyster, all of our seaweed is grown and harvested locally, from the pristine waters of Bere Island, West Cork, along Ireland’s acclaimed Wild Atlantic Way. All of our seaweed seasoning products are packed full of iodine, iron and calcium, and provide a healthy alternative to salt.
