At the fish counter there is no confusion! Everyone will recognize Plaice. It is one of the most popular fish, with bright red spots always giving it away when mixed with the other flat fish. Once filleted and skin removed, a large Plaice could be easily passed off as a nice portion of Brill… ( You might find this hard to believe but we have seen it! We just can’t tell you were… ).
